Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you order a print from Craft My Prototype. Last updated June 2026.
Customer Responsibility for Files
You are responsible for the files you submit. Please make sure your model is correctly sized, scaled, and oriented, and that you have the right to print it. We print what you send — we do not redesign or repair models unless agreed in advance.
File Review
Every file is reviewed by a real person before printing. If we spot an obvious problem, we will reach out before we start. This review is a courtesy and does not guarantee that your model will print or function as intended.
Print Quality and Tolerances
3D printing has natural limitations. Final prints may include layer lines, minor surface imperfections, support marks, slight color variation, or small dimensional differences. These are normal parts of the 3D printing process and are not considered defects. Exact dimensions, tight tolerances, and mechanical fit are not guaranteed unless specifically discussed and approved before printing.
Material and Color Selection
Resin prints are only offered in clear or white unless otherwise stated. If a resin print requires color, it must be painted after printing.
Illegal, Unsafe, or Prohibited Items
We do not print items that are illegal, unsafe, copyrighted without permission, or intended to cause harm. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, weapons, firearm parts, weapon accessories, counterfeit goods, stolen designs, illegal devices, items used for fraud, and any object intended for harmful or unlawful use.
Intellectual Property
By submitting a file, you confirm that you own it or have permission to print it. You keep all rights to your designs. We do not share, sell, or reuse your files.
Order Changes and Cancellations
Need to change or cancel an order? Contact us as soon as possible. Once a print has started, changes and cancellations may not be possible.
Failed Prints and Reprints
If a print fails due to machine error or printing issues on our end, we may reprint the item at no additional cost.
Functional Use Disclaimer
3D printed parts may not be suitable for safety-critical, load-bearing, high-temperature, electrical, medical, food-contact, or industrial applications unless specifically reviewed and approved beforehand.
Turnaround Time
Most orders print and ship within 2–3 business days. Larger or complex jobs may take longer; we will let you know if your order needs extra time.
Pickup, Shipping, and Delivery
We ship nationwide with tracking, and shipping is free on orders over $49. Once an order leaves our shop, delivery timing is handled by the carrier.
Refund Policy
Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Because 3D printing is a custom manufacturing service, completed custom orders are generally non-refundable. Refunds may be denied or issued as store credit if the issue is caused by customer error, including incorrect file size, wrong printer selection, wrong material selection, poor design, incorrect scaling, or failure to confirm printer dimensions before submitting the order.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse any order that violates these terms, is unsafe or illegal, or that we are unable to print to an acceptable standard.
Acceptance of Terms
